After realising I would be unable to make and transport a birthday cake from Durham to Southampton for my boyfriend's birthday surprise, I sought out a suitable cake designer in Southampton. I came across the Lucy's Cakes website after a lot of searching, and it looked perfect.

After contacting Lucy with my out-of-the-ordinary request, I found out that not only is her website well designed and professional, but that she was absolutely lovely and a pleasure to speak to! After a lot of discussion, we worked out a size and type of cake to make, and agreed on a carrot cake.

When I arrived in Southampton on the day of surprise, the cake absolutely made his day and we have both agreed that it's actually the best carrot cake either of us have tasted (and we think we've tried a lot!) It was perfectly moist, fruity and sweet and there's only about half of it left with both of us nibbling at it after only 2 days!

Again, Thank you so much for all your help, and it really did make his day!

Just wanted to say how much I love Lucy's Cakes. She made my husband's Birthday cake with such a passion that she was DEFINATELY making our Wedding cake! It looked great, tasted great, fairly priced and the matching cookie favours fitted in perfectly with our theme. Thank you so much Lucy x

Just wanted to say a HUGE Thank you for the amazing cake you made for my husband's 40th! It was a real talking point with guests at his party and was absolutely perfect for him! Tastes delicious too!
